MS. DIWO LHAMO PEMBA

AMI 3–6 International Montessori Trainer

Ms. Diwo Lhamo Pemba is an AMI 3–6 International Montessori Trainer with more than 30 years of experience in education and Montessori teacher training.

Born in Bhutan and now based in the United States, she holds the AMI Primary Diploma (ages 2.5–6) from the Maria Montessori Training Centre in London, United Kingdom, and the AMI Assistants to Infancy Diploma (birth–3) from The Montessori Institute of Denver, Colorado, USA.

Throughout more than three decades in Montessori education, she has trained, mentored, and supported thousands of educators across the world, helping bring authentic Montessori education to diverse cultures and communities.

Ms. Pemba pioneered the first AMI Diploma and Certificate courses in Morocco, Egypt, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Mongolia, while also leading numerous AMI training programs throughout the United States, Africa, and Asia.

Her extensive international experience has shaped a training approach that combines rigorous AMI standards with practical classroom application and sensitivity to the cultural context of each learning community.

Graduates of her programs continue to contribute to the growth of high-quality Montessori education in schools across multiple countries, strengthening the global Montessori community.
