Ms. Sharlyn M. Smith is an AMI-certified Montessori specialist with a focus on early childhood education for children aged 0–3 years, a sensitive and foundational stage in every child’s development.

Beyond her role as a Montessori educator, she serves as the Director of Training for AMI 0–3 Montessori Teacher and Assistant Training Programs, bringing extensive expertise, professional knowledge, and a deep commitment to supporting educators who work with young children.

In addition to her training role with AMI, Ms. Sharlyn is also a Professor at Loyola University (USA). As an AMI International Examiner and Consultant, she contributes significantly to maintaining and advancing global standards in Montessori teacher education.

With more than 25 years of experience, Ms. Sharlyn has trained and mentored Montessori educators across many countries, including Germany, Japan, China, Romania, and Ukraine. Through each international journey, she has shared not only her professional expertise but also her passion and dedication to Montessori philosophy.

She is also a member of the AMI Headquarters Training Group, where she continues to contribute to the improvement and development of Montessori training programs while inspiring future generations of Montessori educators worldwide.
